Registry!

We are registered two places online: Macy's and Anthropologie
(click either name to be directed to our registry sites)

When you click on Macy's above, everything should work perfectly. When you click on Anthropologie above, everything should also work perfectly, but you will either see a screen that looks like this (which is a good thing):

Or you will see a screen that looks like this (which isn't a bad thing, but you will have to click on "Wedding Registry" in the right column, under "Tracy's Lists," shown circled):

Thanks! If you have any questions, please send us an email at:

Map and Hotel Reservations

View Wedding in a larger map

Map above marks both Parkside Restaurant and the Radisson Hotel for reference. We have a special rate set up with the Radisson on Town Lake for our guests the weekend of June 4, 2011. The hotel and restaurant are 0.4 miles away. A 2-minute drive or an 8-minute walk!

Hotel and Reservation Details:

The rate is $119.00/night for a room with either two doubles or a king. Rate is active the nights of June 2 - 6.

There are two ways to make reservations:

(1) Call the Radisson's toll free national reservations center at 800-333-3333 and mention the Greene/Hendrickson Room Block for June 2 - 6, 2011. Special rates will not apply to nights outside of this time frame.

(2) Or go to: www.radisson.com/austintx and click on “Make a reservation.” Enter in your arrival and departure dates (entering a day before 6/2/2011 or a day after 6/6/2011 may not allow you to find your rate). Once proper dates are inserted, scroll down to the ‘Promotion code’ and enter ‘GREENE.’ Click ‘Continue,’ and your group rate will appear. When the rate appears on the screen, you may continue with the billing process.

**Please note that this $119.00 rate is only available until 5/3/2011. You must reserve your rooms before that date (a month prior to the wedding) to get that rate.

Less than six months away from the big day! And invitations are out.

Well, it's official! (Even more official than paying a deposit.) We sent out the wedding invitations today! Be on the look out.

We know, it's early. We're still six months away (well, a few days less than), but we did this for four very important reasons:

(1) A lot of guests will be traveling to the wedding, so it makes sense for everyone to have more notice. After all, there's a lot to coordinate -- flights... hotels... and that's it.

(2) You'll love seeing our invitation on your refrigerator for an extended period of time. This will help to build anticipation and excitement.

(3) We found postage stamps we really liked, but they're not forever stamps. They're only 44¢, and postage will be going up January 2, 2011. Obviously, this was extremely time-sensitive.

(4) And most importantly, everything was printed and assembled and we absolutely could not wait! And by we, I mean Tracy.

About the Bride & Groom

Tracy was born on the last day of 1986 in Syracuse, New York. The Greene family moved to Austin almost two years later. There, she grew, played Playmobil, ran around, failed choir, got bit by mosquitoes, discovered art, and met Jacob.

Jacob was born in the spring of 1987 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Hendricksons moved to Austin about a year after the Greenes. The two families lived 5.1 miles apart (according to Google maps) but Tracy and Jacob didn't meet until sixth grade at Murchison Middle School.

They were in some of the same classes there, but the only spark between them was the one from a match Jacob tried to light on his friend's arm cast during science. Tracy rolled her eyes at the disruptive behavior and the two went separate ways. Jacob left Murchison for Kealing Junior High and went on to a different high school. They didn't meet again until mutual friend Afshan Miri (groomsman) "introduced" the two when they were all sixteen years old.

Tracy and Jacob hit it off. He asked her out, and she drove him around (because he didn't even have his license yet). He taught her about history and archaeology. And she taught him about old movies and musicals. He taught her to let loose. And she taught him dedication and hard work. They dated through high school, through four years of long-distance college years, through getting first jobs (Tracy), and through the first years of grad school (Jacob). And now, after seven years of dating, the two have gotten engaged!

The date is set. The deposit is paid.

Both the ceremony and reception will be held on the second floor of Parkside Restaurant on Saturday, June 4, 2011. The ceremony will start at 5 pm and reception will immediately follow ...and last as long as everyone is drinking/dancing/smiling (or until the restaurant closes at midnight).
